A Chinese 16-17th century Ming stone table carved from a solid piece of stone. This table has a traditional scalloped apron and legs ending in scrolled feet.
In well-preserved original condition with natural patina, it serves as an ideal pedestal for displaying vases, sculptures, and more.
Stone furniture came into its own in China during the Ming dynasty and was treated more as an architectural element of a Chinese garden rather than as furniture.
