An interesting composed pair of original mid 17th/early 18th century cage or basket Stirrups.
Superbly hand forged and of the period in wrought iron with openwork branches and foot plate, one with a rotating attachment eye, good general condition and a little oxidation.
The main suspension arch resembles that of a horse shoe, the front branches look like those of a sword guard and the foot plates seem to be featuring insignia.
