An extremely decorative and unique pair of Italian late 17th century Louis XIV Period patinated wood and Giltwood chandeliers. Each beautiful six arm six light chandelier is centered by a bouquet of silk tassels hanging below a foliate decorated topie shaped bottom finial. Above the topie shaped bottom finial is an additional larger scaled foliate decorated topie shaped socle which serves as the support for each of the six arms. Each of the six fine ‘S’ scrolled arms are decorated by a circular Giltwood central reserve and foliate decorated candle cups that hold the wood carved candles with electrified bulbs. Above the scrolling acanthus leaves of the body is a socle with a narrow Giltwood band around the neck which presents the top crown above. The top crown is tastefully designed with ‘S’ scrolled draping Giltwood acanthus leaves that hold a Giltwood ball placed a the top.
