The pilaster jambs with elegant carved corbel brackets supporting wide and generous mantle with typical Georgian moulded shelf. Plain frieze beneath with reeded under moulding. This extraordinary variegated marble with wonderfully configured fossilisation making a superior quality surround. From Dublin Ireland circa 1830
