Antique silver inkstand of impressive proportions, made at the end of King William IV’s reign. The inkstand has finely detailed scroll and leaf pattern cast mounts and rets on four scroll leaf and flower supports.
Both inkwells are fitted with silver collars and pull-off covers that are fitted with hinged openings surmounted by acorn shaped finials. The central container is cast and hand chased. It is surmounted by a detachable chamber stick and cone snuffer.
