A very fine early 19th Century William IV giltwood overmantel mirror of exceptional quality and large proportions. The mirror glass plate of rectangular form is set within an elegantly simple and beautifully hand carved moulded and fluted giltwood frame with stunningly detailed arrangements of leaves and scrolling foliate to each top corner return, finely hand carved in high relief. Supported on shaped platform base with a further arrangement of acanthus leaf motif detail to each side.
