This really is an exquisite armchair, it is pure art furniture from every angle, the design originates from the 18th century, they are documented as being use in cockfights as you could sit backwards on the chair and have a fully body arm rest which you could use to write on and so forth, this of course was the original intended function which was for study
Condition wise, the chair has been lightly restored to include a deep clean, hand condition wax and hand polish, its an original patina chair meaning all the period charm has been left in
