Fine quality English mahogany roll top desk circa 1830.
Rare piece of English furniture we found on our travels to Sweden. Tambour roll top is in good working order. Top rolls back to reveal a fitted interior. 8 drawers, 4 of which are dummy drawers and 2 pull out slides for candles. 8 pigeon holes below. Green leather adjustable writing surface with gold tooling.
2 flame mahogany drawers with original brass swan neck handles, fitted with partitions and original blue paper lining.
Shaped storage below the desk. Standing on tapering legs and brass castors.
Replaced green leather writing surface. Restoration to left hand drawer cock beading. Expected minor surface marks.
