Vintage Design
These lights decorated with the Charles’ brothers iconic pineapples have 3 bulbs each and have been rewired with rope twisted flex. They feature on the La Maison Charles website and are stamped – please see the close up photograph.
Made in France in the 1960s.
Maison Charles have been operating from Paris since 1908 when Ernest Charles took over the Ullman Bronze Works in Paris. One of his sons, Emile took over the business in 1920 – soon to be joined by his sibling Pierre. They are regarded as creating a fresh style in lighting and decor.
Maison Charles are winners of the Lampe D’or design award at the Salon International Du Luminaire De Paris on more than one occasion and are suppliers to luxury hotels and restaurants, as well as the most stylish homes.
