Splendid plaque in gilded stucco with pure gold leaf. The plaque depicts the Madonna with the baby Jesus, according to typical Renaissance iconography. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident: both characters wear halos, while Jesus is represented naked and the Madonna is wrapped in a voluminous dress, with well-defined folds and a complex hairstyle. The frame, also golden, is an integral part of the plaster mold. This plaque is attributed to the Tuscan school of the first half of the 16th century, and is in a good state of preservation, in fact there are only minor restorations. It is certainly a work that enchants with its timeless charm and the profound history it contains, capable of conveying the essence of antiquity.
