1899 Cinderella Illustrated Victorian Era Fairy Tales Book

This Is A Very Hard-to-find, Date-stamped 1899 Edition Of Cinderella That Is Now 125 Years Old It Also Contains Some Other Scarce Tales Not Found In Most Books This Is The Only Printing Of This Book With This Cover Art I Can Trace Anywhere On The Web.

This is a beautiful 19th-century edition of Cinderella printed at the height of the Victorian Era. I have searched multiple Copywrite records regarding this book; it may be the publisher’s first edition. It not only contains the original story of Cinderella but also a lovely array of other tales. It contains some very well-executed works of art and one color plate at the beginning of the book. It’s the only one I can find with this cover; needless to say, it’s a bit of a unicorn book. Another great part of this edition is that it’s stamped 1899 inside. This is very important as many bootleg printings were made of this book, and the publishers didn’t include a date.

The condition of this book is good despite being printed during the 1800s; however, it is not a perfect book. The covers and spine contain aging, shelf wear, reading use, small marks, scratches, tears and blemishes. The interior pages are naturally age-toned, and some contain stains, small marks, small tears etc. The story of Cinderella is at the beginning of the book and emains in very nice condition. It’s from the 1800s; thus, it has some normal wear but, overall has been very well preserved. Personalized on the inside “David Smith From S. S. Teacher”. Please see photographs. Book also has a mild odor secondary to 125 year age.
