1904 French Antique Botanical Lithograph-Apple, With Documentatio

This is a French botanical study of the apple. It dates to 1904. It came from a French Beaux-Arts portfolio of 4 volumes of “Encyclopedie de la Plante”, an “artistique” and “documentaire” collection of botanical plates. This work showcases details and intricacies of the structure of the apple with its blossoms, buds, leaves, and fruit. It has a wonderful strong graphic quality. The line drawing aspect of the botanical study is very evident and makes the image unique and RARE. The lithograph is in excellent antique condition. Done in light and dark green tones. 11.5 x 15 inches in size.
