Silver Gelatine Print by Erich Andres, ca 1950. Andres was born 1905 in Germany and passed away 1992. He started his career as a photographer in 1920. He was one of the first photographers, who used a Leica. His images today are displayed in several museums, for example in the Civil War Museum in Salamanca, Spain, the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, the Industrial Museum in Oberhausen, Germany. Andres was a contributor for Edward Steichens Exhibition “The family of man” at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1951. All works of Andres offered here on 1stdibs are originals, printed and annotated by the photographer himself. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
