An attractive and decorative antique sterling silver snuff box.
It is a rectangular shape, very ergonomic and easy to slip into the pocket and it has a wonderful wavy engine turned type design to the lid and the base.
The lid features a monogram in a small car touche but this is quite worn, JWS UKCS.
Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1834, William IV era.
It has a rich golden gilt wash within.

Good used condition overall, light surface wear commensurate with age, small dings, air holes to the front from manufacture, monogram slightly worn
