A monumental collection of 48 pre-Columbian hand-built pottery heads and bust artifacts. Possibly deriving from West Mexico, Michoacan or Chupicuaro. Although primitive, the carving is intricate with highly stylized details and characteristics. Each artifact is placed in a unique display with a fabric-lined background. An impressive museum style wall display case to showcase relics from ancient civilizations. No paperwork was provided to indicate the exact age but similar examples date from circa 500 BCE. From a private collection. Dimensions: 20.75”h x 24.75”w x 1.25”d (framed). In very good vintage condition consistent with age.
