The face of the drum features a central 8 pointed star surrounded by bands of alternating geometric designs. A single band of waterbirds in flight represents the key motif.
The body of the drum features four lug handles, and is further decorated by simple bands of geometric designs. Another band of linear design running vertically along the body may be interpreted as feathers, further highlighting the waterbird motif on the tympanum.
This drum can be classified as a Heger Type I, subgroup B.
