English William IV mahogany longcase clock, first half 19th c., glazed hood with swan-neck pediment, turned columns, housing a painted dial inscribed Avenall, Portsea, the arch painted with gathering of animals including a lion, horse, deer, leopard, serpent, elephant, and peacocks, Roman numeral hours and Arabic numeral five minute markers, inner subdial with second hand, aperture with date ring, floral-painted spandrels, time and strike movement, shaped door above plinth with inlaid circular banding, on bracket feet, pendulum present but will not mount due to missing/ broken parts, retaining weights, not operating at this time, approx 94.75″h, 27.5″w, 10.75″d
