A superb and fine early 20th century laburnam oyster chest on stand in the style of William & Mary, the rectangular and crossbanded top with an ogee moulded edge with decorative shapes incorporating boxwood stringing, the chest having two short over two long graduated drawers with brass fret handles and escutcheons, elevated on a stand with a frieze drawer, barley twist legs and bun feet united by a stretcher, the drawer fronts are also crossbanded in sycamore as are the sides of the chest which have circular boxwood stringing. Circa 1920.
