Edward Moulthrop, recognized as the father of modern wood turning, is credited with moving wood turning from a simple craft to an art form. This early example in sweet gum is a large turned footed bowl/center piece with thin profiled thickness. A warm tone with beautiful knots and fissures which add a great warmth and texture to the piece. Signed on the bottom.
