Dutch oak cabinet on stand
An exceptional late 17th-century Dutch oak cabinet-on-stand with an ornately carved interior, depicted in the Baroque manner. The cabinet is adorned with intricate carvings throughout and is raised on a later base. The interior holds a metal spring lock that is likely to have been made in Germany, whilst the abundance of engravings and mouldings throughout, suggest that the cabinet was made in one of the main cities of Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, or Brussels.
Oak with ebonised, gilded interior and intricate metal spring-lock.
