Vintage Design
Cubic shapes run through this design, from the shade to details like switches and levers to the base plate. Probably the most distinctive detail of these BUR designs is the fine perforation of the shades. A rectangular elongated perforation that refracts the escaping light and dissolves the cubic shape of the shade when switched on. This lamp even still retains the diffuser parchment inside the shade. The heavy base plate is designed as a shelf. The counterweight effortlessly allows for the wide cantilever of the movable shade. The shade and base are connected by a simple bracket and flexibly mounted. Screws can be used to fix the position of the umbrella.
