A superb quality pair of William IV period miniature Chests of Drawers or Desk Tidies in birdseye maple and mahogany. The rectangular tops with rounded corners are nicely figured in light birdseye maple with canted edges and a brass galleried top. Above, there are three graduated, mahogany-lined drawers with their original finely turned wooden knobs. All are set on enclosed plinth bases with small bun feet. In excellent condition with a lovely warm colour and patina. Given the quality, they were most probably made by Holland & Sons. They retain the original finish with outstanding color and birdseye maple figuring throughout.
