An exceptionally good looking well-made and comfortable pair of armchairs, the chairs have fully coil sprung frames including the backs and arms, what this means is the whole chair is like a pocket sprung mattress

These are the first William IV pair like this I have ever seen, there are thousands of the sofas which have these same flamed mahogany front panels but never have I seen a pair of armchairs. These are super comfortable and quintessentially English, perfect for a fine country Library. The upholstery was renewed a couple of years ago, I can see one little storage mark on top, otherwise they look perfect, they have actually been in storage for some time

In terms of the condition, the carved panels have been cleaned waxed and polished, the linen upholstery has been professionally cleaned, they are in wonderful antique order throughout
