The copper is decorated in brilliant colors with intricate designs. Islamic art demands the absence of figures which are replaced by the extensive use of geometric and abstract floral patterns. The use of enameling art in the Islamic culture is known as early as the 2nd century B.C.. Because the enamels are so delicate most of the object d’art have been destroyed or kept safe in museums. They are, consequently rare and hard to find. The traditional decorations have continued into the 19th century.
