A splendid 17th century Continental two-part cupboard, its upper case with molded cornice with dentil molding, two carved doors opening to single interior shelves on each side, the fronts carved with geometric and arched relief designs, over a central carved backsplash support with two solid barley twist front supports, over a lower case with a hinged short top for storage surmounting two additional doors which open to single shelf interior storage, featuring carved scenes and double radial fans on each side. The piece is in very good restored condition, retaining most of its iron hardware, including shell pulls in the top case and large front lock. Some minor worm damage present.
