Also had an address in Newman Street. There is evidence that some furniture bears an identifying impressed mark but the only unambiguously marked items are a mahogany butler’s tray, sold Christie’s South Kensington, 6 July 1994, lot 208, ink-stamped ‘T Treherne, Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer, 39 Oxford Street London’ and a rosewood Canterbury, sold Sotheby’s, 19 Feb 1898, lot 276 (illus. Gilbert (1996), figs 918a and 918). The latter is copied from a design published by J.C. Loudon in 1833.
